Our commitment to safety
Together in Motion Services is committed to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all participants. We have zero tolerance for abuse, neglect, exploitation or any form of harm. All staff are trained in safeguarding and are required to report any concerns immediately.
Reportable incidents
As a registered NDIS provider, we are required to report certain incidents to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Reportable incidents include: the death of a participant; serious injury; abuse or neglect; unlawful sexual or physical contact; use of a restrictive practice; and any other incident that causes significant harm or risk of harm to a participant.
How we respond to incidents
When an incident occurs, we take immediate steps to ensure the safety of the participant and others. We notify the participant and their authorised representative as soon as practicable. We report to the NDIS Commission within the required timeframes. We conduct a thorough investigation and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Restrictive practices
Together in Motion Services is committed to reducing and eliminating the use of restrictive practices. Any use of a regulated restrictive practice must be authorised in accordance with state or territory legislation and the NDIS (Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support) Rules 2018. We work with behaviour support practitioners to develop positive behaviour support plans.
Worker screening
All Together in Motion Services staff and contractors who work with participants hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (where applicable). We verify these checks before engagement and monitor their currency.
Safeguarding training
All staff complete mandatory safeguarding training as part of their induction and on an ongoing basis. Training covers recognising and responding to abuse and neglect, mandatory reporting obligations, and supporting participants to understand and exercise their rights.
