Supported Independent Living

Live independently, with the right support around you.

What is SIL?

SIL is one of the most significant NDIS supports available. It funds the staffing costs of having support workers present in your home — whether that is overnight, during the day, or around the clock — so you can live in a setting that suits you.

Together in Motion Services provides SIL supports across shared and individual living arrangements. We work closely with participants, their families and support coordinators to design a living arrangement that genuinely fits the person — not the other way around.

Our SIL teams are carefully matched to participants based on personality, interests, communication style and support needs. We invest in consistent staffing so participants can build real relationships with their support workers and feel safe and settled at home.

What could this support look like?

Every person's support is different. Here is a realistic example of what a day with Together in Motion Services might look like.

Morning

Your support worker arrives and assists with your morning routine — showering, dressing, breakfast and any medications — at your own pace and in the way you prefer.

Daytime

Depending on your goals, you might head out to a community activity, attend a therapy appointment, work on life skills at home, or simply enjoy your day with support nearby.

Evening

Support with dinner preparation, evening routines and wind-down. Overnight support is available for participants who need it — either active or sleepover.

Your choice and control

You choose your support workers, your routines, your housemates and how your home runs. Together in Motion Services works around your preferences — not the other way around. Your support plan is reviewed regularly so it keeps up with your life.

How is the support personalised?

We start with a detailed conversation about your goals, preferences, routines and what matters most to you. Your support plan is built around that — not a template. We carefully match you with support workers who suit your personality and communication style, and we review your plan regularly to make sure it still fits your life.
