Supporting Participants With Complex Needs

Together in Motion Services is committed to providing safe, responsive and individualised supports for participants with complex needs. Where these supports are included within our approved registration scope, we may provide appropriately planned assistance involving behaviour support plan implementation, mealtime management, medication support, infection prevention and waste management.

Behaviour Support Plan Implementation – Module 2A

Together in Motion Services is registered under Module 2A and can work as an implementing provider for participants with an approved behaviour support plan, including plans that contain regulated restrictive practices. Restrictive practices are only implemented when legally authorised, documented within an approved behaviour support plan and delivered in accordance with all reporting, monitoring, training and safeguarding requirements.

Together in Motion Services implements behaviour support plans but does not develop them unless separately registered to provide specialist positive behaviour support.

Mealtime Management – Module 2A

Participant-specific support with safe and enjoyable mealtimes, including following approved mealtime management plans, preparing texture-modified meals and fluids, supporting safe eating and drinking, and recognising and escalating identified risks.

Medication Support – Module 2A

Participant-specific medication prompting or assistance in accordance with the participant's support plan, medication documentation, organisational procedures and the instructions of appropriately qualified health professionals.

Workers do not administer medical treatment unless the organisation is registered, authorised and appropriately qualified to deliver that specific support.

Infection Prevention and Waste Management – Module 2A

Safe handling, storage and disposal of general, infectious, clinical or hazardous waste generated during service delivery, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment and infection-prevention procedures.

Important: The availability of complex supports is subject to Together in Motion Services's approved NDIS registration scope, appropriately trained workers, participant-specific assessments, professional plans, legal authorisations and current service capacity.
